Piero Regnoli

Born in 1921 in Rome, Italy, Piero Regnoli was a prolific screenwriter and film director. Over his career, he wrote more than 110 screenplays and directed 11 films, spanning genres such as sword-and-sandal, westerns, horror, and sexy comedies. Notable works include I Vampiri (1957), recognized as the first Italian horror film of the sound era, and The Playgirls and the Vampire (1960), which he directed. Regnoli's versatility and extensive contributions significantly impacted Italian genre cinema.
