This film tells the story of the Republic of China period. Qifan, a descendant of a family of tomb builders, possesses the skill but has no opportunity to use it. He refuses to engage in grave robbing, even when his uncle Lao Hu, who makes a living through deceit and trickery, tries to persuade him to use his tomb-building abilities for treasure hunting.
